Here's what's happening THIS WEEKEND  AT ST. MARY'S

1.  SATURDAY, May 12: "Songs of Faith" with Tender Mercies, 
    • featuring the music and gifts of Soraiya Campbell and Michael Anderson. 
    • Time: 6 pm to 7 pm. 
    • We will meet in the chapel every SECOND and FOURTH Saturday of the month. 
    • People of faith and no faith welcome.
    • Spread the word and bring a friend
SUNDAY, MAY 13: THE SEVENTH SUNDAY OF EASTER/SUNDAY AFTER ASCENSION
  • Color for the day: WHITE
  • Readings at Mass:  Acts 1:15-17, 21-26  1 John 5:9-13  John 17:6-19  Psalm 1
  • Welcome Fr. Jose Ivanildo Cavalcante, our Guest Celebrant at both English and Espanol Masses
  • For those who observe it, Happy Mother's Day

2.  MASS SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK: Morning Prayer at 8:45  & Mass at 9 am

3.   BIBLE STUDY on Wednesdays at St. Mary's:
  • Class meets from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
  • We meet in the Sacristy. Enter from the parking lot off Watseka Ave.
  • Our current study is focused on the Gospel according to St. Mark
  • No previous Bible knowledge required
  • We are using the NIV 2011 translation.  We'll have a Bible for you if needed.

  • Now forming: A chess club at St. Mary's. Contact the Parish Office, if interested. We're ready to roll!!!
  • Graduations:

    • Natasha Brown: California State University, East Bay, Hayward; June 9.
  • Sunday, May 20, THE DAY OF PENTECOST. We need readers to read the Gospel in as many languages as possible especially, French, Latin, Greek, Italian, Espanol, Ga, Akan, Swahili, Mano, German, Mandarin, Cantonese, Dutch and Hindi. Text is JOHN 20:19-23. If you can help, please, let Fr. Vincent know asap.Thanks for supporting our mission with your language skills. 

5. CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS OF OUR PARISH
  • On Sunday, September 8, 2019, our parish will by the grace of God, celebrate 100 years of continuous ministry in God's reign and especially in Southern California. 
  • This month, we are praying and thanking God for the sterling christian witness,  faithfulness, stewardship and commitment of former parishioners who made our ministries/mission possible in the (year) 2000s
  • If you are a former parishioner or know of one, please, let us know so we can pray and thank God for you/them by name.
