Here's what's making news THIS WEEKEND AT ST. MARY'S:
1. SATURDAY: AUGUST 13: From 6 - 8pm
- Week Three of our ALPHA program
- Meet in St. Joseph Hall
- Talk to Kevin if you are interested
- Food will be served.
- SUNDAY, AUGUST 14: THE THIRTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
- Enjoy the summer break but also encourage your family and friends to come to church with you.
2. BIBLE STUDY:
- (English) Wednesdays, 6:30 pm to 7: 30 pm at the church.
3. CLASSES IN CHRISTIAN FORMATION : SUNDAYS AT 11:30 AM to 12 PM
- Sunday, August 14: THE PROPER LITURGIES FOR SPECIAL DAYS
- we'll meet in the chapel. Please, bring a Book of Common Prayer (1979)
4. URGENTLY WANTED: someone with a passion for community organizational work:
- to assist Fr. Vincent in "mapping our neighborhood" and getting it ready to deal with emergencies in our community
- to assist with the leg-work in canvassing our neighborhood for the upcoming Saturday, October 8, Neighborhood Block party,
- to assist with organizing a Health Fair for our neighborhood.
- Only a few hours a week needed.
- For students, a good opportunity to meet those important community service hours.For families, consider it a time to give something back to our lovely community.

6. UPCOMING EVENTS
- Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Monday, August 15. Mass at 7 pm
- Sunday, August 21: We'll administer the Sacrament of Baptism to Andrew R. Sharma, son of Akshay and Belinda.
- Free Wi-fi: We'll be test-running, for the next couple of weeks, our free parish wi-fi accessibility. It would be password protected. Watch this space for updates.
