Here's what's making news THIS WEEKEND  AT ST. MARY'S 

1SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10: From 6 - 8pm
    • Week Seven of our ALPHA program
    • Meet in St. Joseph Hall 
    • Talk to Kevin if you are interested
    • Food will be served.
  • SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11:  
    • FEAST OF THE NATIVITY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY - OUR PARISH'S FEAST OF TITLE AND PATRONAL FEAST - (97th edition for our parish)
    • Bilingual Mass at 11:30 am
    • Fr. Marc Angelo is our Guest Preacher

    • Potluck follows Mass. Please, bring some food to share
    • Encourage your family and friends to come to church with you.

2 BIBLE STUDY: 
    • (English) Wednesdays, 6:30 pm to 7: 30 pm at the church.

3.  CLASSES IN CHRISTIAN FORMATION : SUNDAYS AT 11:30 AM to 12 PM
    • Sunday, September 11: NO CLASS
    • Join us at our post-Mass potluck reception celebrating our patronal feast.

4.    VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT ST. MARY'S: someone with a passion for community organizational work: 
    • to assist Fr. Vincent in "mapping our neighborhood" and getting it ready to deal with emergencies in our community
    • to assist with the leg-work in canvassing our neighborhood for the upcoming Saturday, October 8, 5th Annual Faris Neighborhood Block party
    • to assist with organizing a Health Fair for our neighborhood.
    • Only a few volunteer hours a week needed. 
    • For students, a good opportunity to meet those important community service hours.For families, consider it a time to give something back to our lovely community.

6.  UPCOMING EVENT
    • What: 5th Annual Faris Neighborhood Block party - celebrating our neighborhood and our neighbors. 
    • When: Saturday, October 8 from 11 am to 3 pm. However, Faris Drive between Charnock Ave and Hannum Dr will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 9 am to 4 pm.
    • (Where) Event site: Faris Drive between Charnock Ave and Hannum Dr.(Palms)
    • This is a potluck event. Bring some food to share. We will provide burgers, hot dogs
    • Meet staff from our Council District 5 and our Councilman, Paul Koretz
    • To volunteer for the event, send message to Fr. Vincent
    • Spread the word.
