Here's what's happening THIS WEEKEND  AT ST. MARY'S

1.  SUNDAY, MARCH 25: PALM SUNDAY OF THE PASSION OF THE LORD

  • Service will start in the parking lot and we will go in procession to the church
  • Color for the day: RED
  • Please, invite your friends to church 

2.  MASS SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK: Morning Prayer at 8:45  & Mass at 9 am
  • Monday, March 26: Monday in Holy Week
  • Tuesday, March 27: Tuesday in Holy Week
  • Wednesday, March 28: Wednesday in Holy Week
  • Thursday, March 29: Maundy Thursday - including foot-washing and vigil at the Altar of Repose until midnight
  • Friday,  March 30: Good Friday
  • Saturday, March 31: Holy Saturday & Great Vigil of Easter

3. LENT AT ST. MARY'S
  • Stations (Way) of the Cross: Fridays at 9:30 am & 6:30 pm
  • Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession): by appointment. Call 310-558-4124
  •  MOVIE SERIES All screenings are on Saturday (at St. Mary in Palms) from 6 - 8 pm. 
    • March 24: Queen of Katwe: [2016]. Based on the vibrant true story of a young girl from the streets of rural Uganda whose world rapidly changes when she is introduced to the game of chess, and, as a result of the support she receives from her family and community, is instilled with the confidence and determination she needs to pursue her dream of becoming an international chess champion. Starring David Oyelowo & Lupita Nyong'o

4.  BIBLE STUDY on Wednesdays at St. Mary's:
  • Class meets from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
  • We meet in the Sacristy. Enter from the parking lot off Watseka Ave.
  • Our current study is focused on the Gospel according to St. Mark
  • No previous Bible knowledge required
  • We are using the NIV 2011 translation.  We'll have a Bible for you if needed.

5. HOLY WEEK 7 EASTER AT ST. MARY'S
  • Sunday, March 25: Palm Sunday
  • Tuesday, March 27: Renewal of Ordination Vows and Chrism Mass
  • Thursday, March 29: Maundy (Holy) Thursday Proper Liturgy - 7 pm
  • Friday, March 30: Stations (Way) of the Cross - 12 pm; Proper Liturgy for Good Friday - 7 pm 
  • Saturday, March 31: The Great Vigil of EASTER - 8 pm
  • Sunday, April 1: EASTER Sunday - Mass at 10 am; MISA at 12:30 pm

6. CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS OF OUR PARISH
  • On Sunday, September 8, 2019, our parish will by the grace of God, celebrate 100 years of continuous ministry in God's reign and especially in Southern California. 
  • This month, we are praying and thanking God for the sterling christian witness,  faithfulness, stewardship and commitment of former parishioners who made our ministries/mission possible in the 1960s and 1970s
  • If you are a former parishioner or know of one, please, let us know so we can pray and thank God for you/them by name.
