All that is left now is to buy a butcher block countertop to cover the hole left by the removal of the old and faithful dishwasher. We have enough money to do this project and work will be done in the coming week. Again, thanks to all for making the kitchen sink project possible.

  • Our parish was invited by the Los Angeles County Community Disaster Resilience project (LACCDR) to help establish a Community Coalition for Emergency Preparedness in Palms. Our first community meeting on Saturday, March 15 went very well. Our next meeting is Saturday, March 22 from 1 - 3 pm. Join us to develop preparedness plans to make our community safe in case of any emergency. We'll meet in St. Joseph Hall.
6.  TRADING LAWN FOR DROUGHT TOLERANT PLANTS
  • We got approval March 20, from the LADWP to proceed with replacing the lawn in our parkway - 3200 sq. ft of space - with drought tolerant plants. The DWP will give us a rebate of $2 per sq. ft. of lawn we replace for a total rebate of $6400 if we use all 3200 sq. ft. This has been in the works for some time now. Vestry has already given approval for this project.
