Parish UPDATE: Feb. 17

1THIS WEEKEND
  • First in the Desire of the Nations movie night series on Saturday, February 16 at 6:30 pm.  We'll be watching movies from or about the various countries our families come from. Bring  your friends
2. THIS SUNDAY, FEB. 17:
  • The first Sunday in Lent. Expect a new Sunday bulletin and more traditional language. 
  • Service begins with the Great Litany sung in procession within the nave
  • Please, do not take the Worship Service bulletins or Plainsong inserts with you, we need these for the whole season of Lent. Thanks.
  • Brief Introductory Vestry meeting at 11:15 am
3LENT AT ST. MARY
There are many opportunities for spiritual and christian formation available for your use this Lent and I would like to encourage you to make use of these. Here are a few.
  • TUESDAYS:  Evening Prayer at 7:00PM 
  • THURSDAYS : Bible Study at 7:00PM. We'll be studying Nehemiah 
  • FRIDAY: Stations of the Cross at 6:30PM; Evening Prayer at 7:00PM;  Dinner/Fast Breaking at 7:45 
  • FIRST AND THIRD SATURDAYS:  Desire of the Nations Movie Night at 6:30PM.  We'll be watching movies from or about the various countries our families come from.
  • Pick up a booklet for daily meditations in Lent. These are available in the chapel area and at no cost to you.
  • Daily Mass
  • Consider making an appointment for Sacramental Confession 
  • Explore the services of a Spiritual Director. Talk to Fr. Vincent or Julia Bergstrom, Fr. (Br.) Derek Ford, SSF, Fr. Anderson certified Spiritual Directors if you have questions.
4UPCOMING EVENTS:
  • Pledge Cards: If you have not picked up your Pledge Cards or Pledge Envelopes, please remember to do this on Sunday. Our talents, treasure and time makes the ministries of this parish possible. Thanks for sharing your spiritual and temporal gifts with us
  • Confirmation classes continue on Saturday, February 23 with a field-trip to the Museum of Tolerance following the 9 am Mass. Candidates will be confirmed on Sunday, September 8 during the celebration of our Patronal Feast and Canonical Visitation on behalf of Bishop J. Jon Bruno. To register, please see Fr. Vincent or call Phyllis in the office ASAP. 
  • Misa (Mass in Spanish) every Sunday at 1 pm. I commend this ministry led by Fr. Federico to your prayers and support.
  • Re-painting of the main and side church doors.

  • Continued healing for Bianca Mussenden, Julia Bergstrom, Rev. Canon Cyprian Fields, Anthony Jo, Kay and Tom Burleigh, Ava, Bea, Sister Rosina, OSH.
  • Blessings on all our benefactors and all who make the ministries of this parish possible.
  • The ongoing work of the Worship Committee of the parish.
  • Our students Vincent, Obed, Larry Jr, Simone, Jeffrey, Audrey, Natasha and Michelle.
  • All who are discerning vocations to various ministries in the Church at this time 
  • Our Palms community that it would be safe for all residents
  • All who are being prepared for baptism at Easter
